Our Doctors

Natalia

Practice Lead

Natalia is a passionate, caring, and hardworking professional who treats every fur friend as if they were her own. With over 13 years of grooming experience and a background as a veterinary technician, she brings a unique blend of skill and empathy to her work.

Understanding how difficult it can be to leave a beloved pet with a stranger, Natalia is committed to creating a safe, comforting environment where pet owners can feel confident that their animals are in trusted hands. As a devoted fur-mom herself, she knows firsthand the importance of trust and gentle care.

Her experience working with multiple rescues and dogs with difficult pasts has shaped her compassionate approach. Natalia has witnessed how quickly many groomers turn away animals with behavioral challenges, and she made a vow to provide these pets with the gentle, patient care they deserve—ensuring every dog has a positive grooming experience.
Natalia’s love and connection with animals runs deep, and her passion for joining Plaza Animal Hospital’s team is driven by her desire to share that connection with every client and pet she serves.

Jessica

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica is a proud native of Mooresville, NC, where her love for animals began early, growing up surrounded by farm animals and dogs. This early connection sparked a lifelong passion for veterinary care and animal well-being, which she has carried with her throughout her career.

When she’s not busy helping animals thrive, Jessica is a devoted mom to four wonderful children and four beloved fur babies. Family means the world to her, and she cherishes every moment spent outdoors with them—whether it’s playing sports, camping under the stars, or enjoying a variety of other outdoor adventures.

Jessica’s deep compassion, combined with her hands-on experience and dedication, make her an invaluable member of the Plaza Animal Hospital team. She believes that every pet deserves love, attention, and expert care, and she brings that belief into every interaction with clients and their furry family members.

Karrey

Veterinary Assistant

Karrey joined the Plaza Animal Hospital family in October 2019, bringing with her a deep and heartfelt passion for animal care. Her connection to our community runs even deeper—her family has been part of the Plaza family for over 14 years! Over time, Karrey’s gentle and kind nature stood out as she lovingly cared for her own family’s four-legged companions, naturally stepping into a leadership role in tending to their medical needs.

Her calm, soothing presence and genuine love for animals have made her an invaluable member of our team. Karrey has a special gift for connecting with every fur baby she meets, especially those who are nervous or anxious during visits. Her ability to comfort and reassure pets while providing skilled assistance is truly remarkable, and she has blossomed into a fantastic veterinary assistant.

Outside of work, Karrey enjoys spending quality time with her family and her own furry companions—Blue, Laila, Lilly, and Kitty—who hold a special place in her heart.

We’re incredibly proud of Karrey and grateful for the dedication and compassion she brings to our practice every day.

Andrea

Veterinary Assistant

Andrea graduated from Lees-McRae College in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology and Rehabilitation. She brings hands-on experience from her time at both the St. Louis Zoo and the Fort Worth Zoo, where she worked closely with birds of prey as well as domestic farm animals.

Her passion for animals of all kinds drives her commitment to making a positive difference in every animal’s life. When she’s not caring for our furry and feathered friends, Andrea enjoys diving into Stephen King novels, visiting Disney World, and spending quality time with her beloved rescue dog, Roxy.

Jayme

Veterinary Assistant

After making the move from Washington State to North Carolina to be closer to family and meet her nephew for the first time, Jayme embraced an exciting new chapter in her life. Her passion for animals and helping others made veterinary medicine a natural fit, and she brings that same compassion and dedication to every patient she meets.

Jayme shares her home with Pickle, her rescued bearded dragon, and has always had a special place in her heart for rescue animals. Her love for animals extends far beyond the hospital walls and influences everything she does.
A hands-on learner by nature, Jayme thrives when she’s actively involved and eager to take on new challenges. Whether she’s assisting with patient care, learning a new skill, or helping a teammate, she approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. She is always looking for ways to grow and expand her knowledge, making her an invaluable part of our team.

When she’s not at the hospital, Jayme enjoys spending time with family, making memories with her nephew, and exploring all that her new home in North Carolina has to offer. Her kindness, dedication, and genuine love for animals make her a wonderful advocate for both pets and their people.

Ashleigh began her journey in the animal care field as a groomer, but it didn’t take long for her passion for animals to grow into something much bigger. Through working closely with pets and their families, she realized that helping animals was exactly where she was meant to be. Today, as our Lead Receptionist, Ashleigh is often one of the first smiling faces you’ll see when you walk through our doors.

Known for her compassionate nature, positive attitude, and dedication to both our clients and patients, Ashleigh works hard to ensure every visit is as smooth and welcoming as possible. When she’s not at the hospital, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her beloved pup, Midnight. You’ll often find her soaking up the sunshine, enjoying a good energy drink, spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, listening to music, or cuddling up with Midnight after a busy day.

Whether she’s grooming a pup or helping find forever homes for animals in need, Megan approaches every task with compassion, care, and a gentle touch.

Midnight

Front Desk Manager

Midnight joined the Plaza Animal Hospital team at a very young age and quickly worked his way up the corporate ladder to become our highly respected Front Desk Manager. While his official responsibilities include greeting clients, boosting staff morale, and supervising snack distribution, most of his day is spent napping, snacking, and occasionally wandering through the hospital looking important.

Known for his excellent customer service skills, Midnight never misses an opportunity to charm visitors with his adorable face and signature tongue-out smile. He takes his role as office mascot very seriously and can often be found conducting quality control inspections on treats, monitoring the front desk from a cozy blanket, or attending important staff meetings while asleep.

When he’s not hard at work, Midnight enjoys long naps, short naps, surprise naps, stealing hearts, and reminding everyone that productivity is overrated. His greatest accomplishments include maintaining a perfect attendance record for snack time and earning Employee of the Month every month since his hire.

Although his workload is light and his standards are low, Midnight remains an invaluable member of the team and is committed to providing unlimited smiles, emotional support, and occasional supervision whenever treats are involved.
